Organic Gallbladder Cleanse

Detoxifying the gallbladder helps remove painful gallstones and other impurities. Gallbladder detoxification also supports healthy liver and kidney function. Always consult your physician before starting any detoxification at home, especially if you suffer from diabetes or cardiovascular disease. This detox treatment is also helpful to those who have had gallbladder removal, according to Dr. David Homer, N.D., C.N.C.

Step 1

Mix 3 tbsp. of 100 percent pure apple cider vinegar with 8 oz of bottled water. Drink the mixture until it's gone, and repeat throughout the day. According to Dr. Homer, consuming a total of ½ gallon of this mixture per day for 3 days is ideal and will cause the detoxification process to be more effective.

Step 2

Avoid eating after 2 p.m. on the fourth day of detox. Mix 4 tbsp. of Epsom salts and 3 cups of bottled water in a lidded container. Ensure that the lid is secure, and store in the refrigerator. Dr Harmon suggests adding 1 tbsp. of vitamin C powder to the mixture per glass for flavoring.

Step 3

Drink ¾ cup of Epsom salt mixture at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. At 10 p.m. drink a mixture of ½ cup extra virgin olive oil and the juice of 1 large pink grapefruit, and then immediately lie down. With your right knee to your chest, lie on your right side for 20 minutes to ensure that the stones are guided through your body properly. After 20 minutes, go to sleep and rest well for the night. Relaxing your body will help the expulsion of gallstones and sludge.

Step 4

Drink another ¾ cup of Epsom salts mixture upon waking in the morning, but not before 6 a.m. Apple cider vinegar may be consumed should you suffer nausea before taking your salt mixture. Take your last dose of Epsom salts mixture two hours later, and then lie down again to get additional rest.

Step 5

Consume clear fluids and raw vegetables or broth for the rest of the day. Avoid foods such as grains, meats and dairy, as these can inhibit the cleansing process. Gallstones and other impurities will be passed through your stool, and you may experience mild diarrhea. This is normal, reports Dr. Harmon.
