Going on a date in San Diego is limited only by your imagination. You always have the option of going out to dinner, taking in a movie or even visiting a museum. However, you risk having your date think you're boring or that you don't care about your body or health. Show your date a good time that lets you get to know each other while also making your fitness a top priority.

Parks

Take your date to one of the dozens of parks scattered around San Diego. The parks offer different activities, including walking or hiking trails. Spend some time playing with the kids in the playground and then watch the sunset together. Make the park the focal point of your date, people-watching and getting to know each other.

Zoos

San Diego has two places that are open to the public and put animals on display, including the San Diego Zoo. You'll see a lot of families enjoying the day but not a lot of other couples. Stroll through the zoo, picking your favorite animal and snacking on treats and ice cream. Alternatively, take your date to SeaWorld and spend the day walking through the park, checking out the animals and watching the shows.

Beaches

In San Diego you'll find miles of shoreline, and the beaches are open almost throughout the year. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach before going for a short swim. When you're on a more adventurous date, jump in and play volleyball or another pickup game on the beach. If you're going out at night, kick back with a few cold drinks and enjoy each other's company next to a roaring bonfire. You're close enough to see the fireworks coming from SeaWorld.

Sports

If you're prefer sitting down and relaxing a little bit on your date, consider spending the day at a sporting event. San Diego has two professional sports teams: the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers. College teams in the area also play sports; if you're on a budget, you'll find that the tickets are cheaper, but the excitement level is just as high.

Outdoor

Get away from the crowded restaurants and go on an outdoor activity date. In the Mission Bay area, you'll find multiple places offering bike rentals and bike tours. Join one of the tours or make your own tour. Talk about your favorite spots or find a new favorite spot that you both enjoy. Mission Bay also offers kayaking, and by the end of the day, you'll know if you can work as a team.
