Most people come to Tunica to have fun at the casinos, such as Hollywood, Horseshoe and Bally's. However, you can take a cruise on the 400-seat Tunica Queen Riverboat, taste the Southern cuisine of the Paula Deen Buffet or tour the RiverPark Museum. For the health conscious, Tunica offers activities to help you stay physically fit.

Play Golf

Spend a few hours playing golf at The Links at Cottonwood. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced golfer, The Links offers a challenging green with mounds, ridges and swales. You may occasionally receive strong irregular winds, since the course is open and spacious. Try not to have your ball land in one of the three lakes at this 18-hole and par-72 golf course. After your golf outing, go to the premium pro shop stocked with the latest golf accessories or dine in the Clubhouse Restaurant.

Eco-Tour

Plan a trip to the Tunica RiverPark EcoTrail located adjacent to the Tunica RiverPark Museum. The EcoTrail is about two miles and starts at the Gazebo. Stay on the designated walkways to explore every inch of the wetlands forest. If you are quiet during your exploration, you might see plenty of birds, turtles, beavers, deer and squirrels in their nature habitats.

Visit the Spa

If you need to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit, schedule a spa treatment at Harrah's Bellissimo Spa & Salon. Situated in the Terrace Hotel on the first floor, this 16,000-square-foot center offers numerous facials, body treatments, massage therapies and hair services. Arrive at your appointment approximately 30 minutes early to prepare and shower. In addition, a credit card is required to arrange an appointment.

Tour Downtown

Make sure you have comfortable shoes to explore historic downtown Tunica. Begin your trip at Tate House at the corner of Magnolia and School Streets. This house is the oldest Tunica residence, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Tour the antique shop with American primitives or look at the artifacts in the Tunica Museum. Before you leave, taste the down-home Southern cuisine with the various dining options.

Visit the Fitness Center

Tunica County has a health and wellness pavilion, and an aquatic facility. You can register for swim lessons, SCUBA instructions, water aerobics and canoeing classes at the 39,000-square-foot aquatic center. This center includes an eight-lane Olympic competition pool, and a kids' play pool. You can exercise in the pavilion with equipment such as upright bikes, treadmills and steppers.
