Green Tea
Green tea comes from an evergreen tree, called Camellia sinensis. According to The George Mateljan Foundation, green tea contains a catechin called epigallocatechin-3-gallate, which has important anticancer and antioxidant properties. The George Mateljin Foundation states that green tea can protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke and osteoporosis. Drink green tea hot or cold, or consider taking a supplement.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has natural anti-inflammatory properties, according to the online magazine Prevention. It is also high in potassium, which may help with colds and allergies. Use apple cider vinegar in cooking or dab it onto a bruise.
Beans
According to "Joshi's Holistic Life Plan," beans and peas are high in vitamins and minerals, including thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium. These nutrients aid in heart health and diabetes.
Yogurt

Honey
Use honey as a natural sweetener or as a topical agent for your cuts and scrapes. According to Prevention, honey contains "sugar for absorbing moisture so bacteria can't survive, hydrogen peroxide to disinfect, and the nectar-based compound propolis to kill bacteria." It also will dry to form a bandage for your wound.
