Exercises for the Body Shaper

The Body Shaper is a roller device made by Sports Club. This design builds on the traditional abdominal wheel. The unit is spring-loaded, meaning the farther you push it the more resistance it creates. It is sold with a nonslip knee pad and an exercise manual with 18 illustrated exercise examples.

Abdominal Stretch

Kneeling on the knee pad, position the Body Shaper in front of your knees and place your hands on the handles. Breathing in, roll the unit forward as far as you can. Breathing out, slowly curl yourself back to the starting position.

Oblique Stretch

Kneeling on the knee pad, position the Body Shaper in front of your knees and place your hands on the handles. Breathing in, roll the unit forward and to your left as far as you can. Breathing out, slowly curl yourself back to the starting position. Breathing in, roll the unit forward and to your right as far as you can. Breathing out, slowly curl yourself back to the starting position.

Standing Wall Lat Stretch

Facing a wall, stand about one foot away from the wall, grasp each of the Body Shaper's handles and position the Body Shaper on the wall in front of your chest. Breathing in, roll the unit forward as far up as you can. Breathing out, slowly curl yourself back to the starting position.

Standing Wall Shoulder Stretch

Facing a wall, stand about one foot away from the wall, remove the handles to the Body Shaper, grasp the device in your right palm and position the Body Shaper on the wall in front of your chest. Breathing in, lean forward and roll the unit to the left as far as you can without twisting your shoulders. Breathing out, slowly return back to the starting position and repeat with the left arm after the initial set is complete.
