Almost every day, a company is claiming to have the latest and greatest new design. Shoe companies are no different. According to some shoe companies, such as Reebok, Skechers and MBT, there are shoes available that will produce more results due to the shoe's design. With soles designed to force the body to work on its posture and stability, the makers of the EasyTones, Shape ups and MBTs claim that their shoes can produce great results.
Reebok EasyTone
According to Reebok, EasyTone shoes use balance pods with moving air built into the shoe that produce instability when you step. Therefore, your muscles are forced to work harder each step you take. In addition, Reebok claims that compared to regular footwear, the EasyTone "generated 28 percent more gluteus maximus muscle activation, 11 percent more hamstring activation and 11 percent more calf activation."
Skechers Shape-Ups
Skechers has two types of shoes, the Original Shape-ups and the next XF model. According to Skechers, the original shoe is designed to burn calories faster with the taller construction that forces your body to focus on your balance and posture when walking but the new XF model is designed to burn calories steadily throughout the day. Skechers claim that the original ones are best for walking while the XF models are the best choice for gym training, walking and light jogging due to its feature that is provided for extended wear.
MBT Shoes
According to MBT, the curved unstable sole construction of the shoes strengthens the core and improves your balance and coordination. The patented sole construction, according to the MBT web site, is located directly beneath the heel and simulates walking and standing on uneven ground. In addition, the new Athletic Collection is alleged to "help strengthen the small and often neglected muscles that protect the joints and back."
