With near-perfect weather year-round and a plethora of entertainment options, Los Angeles offers many fun and interesting alternatives to date night. Whether you are first-timers or long-term companions, everything but chemistry is included in this "La-La-Land" for daters.

Sports

Get a little action by taking in one of the local sports games. The star-studded Los Angeles Lakers games are sure to impress any basketball fan. Or catch some rays while getting to know your date at a Dodgers baseball game. If your date is an alumni of local UCLA or USC, check out one of their popular football games, or choose from a wide range of other professional sporting events including more men's and women's basketball, hockey and soccer.

Active

The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreational Area is popular with outdoor enthusiasts. Take a date on a nature hike and enjoy the spring flowers and spotting wildlife as you get to know each other. For all of the views but less of the cardio, head to Griffith Park and rent a horse. A scenic ride along the trail leads you to a Mexican restaurant. Ease first date jitters with a margarita, or two, before heading back for a horse-walk under the stars.

Cruise

Driving along the Pacific Coast is a classic Southern Californian experience. Bring back the glamor and take in the views with a comfortable ride along Highway 1. Stops along the way include cantinas, the Santa Monica Pier and various spots for a nice talk and walk along the beach. If the conversation lulls, just put the top down, the car in drive and let the warm wind blowing through your hair fill your ears.

A-List

There are probably more stars out in the local restaurants than you can see in the sky on a Los Angeles Saturday night. Do a little celebrity-sighting and impress a date with dinner reservations at a local hot spot. For a truly A-list experience, dine by helicopter. Take a tour of the city from above and then have your pilot drop you off with roof-top service to a romantic restaurant.

Culture

Embrace your date's cultural side by inviting them to one of the many art, music or literary events in the city. Los Angeles' museum row is located on Wilshire Boulevard and the Getty Center offers art and a cultural center, as well as architectural and scenic views from high atop a hill. The Walt Disney Concert Hall and Hollywood Bowl play host to a range of performers from the classic to the current.
