With all of the advances in technology and new techniques coming to the market, it's possible to reduce wrinkles in ways that don't break the bank and don't involve surgery. Most of the nonsurgical options can be done during your lunch break. All costs mentioned are according to Cost Helper.

Tretinoins

Topical tretinoin is a form of vitamin A that be can prescribed by a dermatologist in a variety of name brands. Retin A and Renova are commonly given to patients looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The medication is usually applied in the morning and evening, although this may vary depending on guidelines from a dermatologist.

Chemical Peels

With chemical peels, a chemical solution is applied to the top layer of the epidermis. The solution removes the top layer of dead skin, exposing new skin. According to the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, chemical peels are often applied to the face, neck and hands to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Depending on the intensity of the procedure, the cost varies between $30 and $275.

Botox

Botox is a Food and Drug Administration-approved toxin that's injected into the facial muscle between the eyebrows to block nerve muscles. Because muscle activity is minimized, deep lines from squinting and facial expressions are reduced. The results of Botox typically last three to four months, but after repeated Botox injections, you shouldn't need the procedure as frequently because you'll make fewer expression lines. The injections range in cost from $300 to $1,200.

Injectable Fillers

According to American Society of Plastic Surgeons, fine lines and wrinkles are able to be reduced by injection of collagen, hyaluronic acid, hydroxylapatite, fat or polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). PMMAs seem to last the longest, with results lasting up to a year or more. The cost of injectable fillers depends on the type of filler used and can range from $400 to over $1,400.

Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion treatment allows new skin to shine through by using abrasion to remove the top layers of dead skin. Because wrinkles are deepest on the top layers, this reduces their appearance and leaves you with younger-looking skin. The cost is typically around $1,300.

Thermage

Thermage is a common single treatment option for patients looking to reduce the appearance of their wrinkles by tightening the skin. According to Cosmetic Surgery, a radio frequency device called ThermaCool TC is used for the procedure. The ThermaCool TC heats the skin and remodels the internal collagen, resulting in fewer wrinkles. The average cost of this procedure is $2,000.

Laser Resurfacing

According to the Mayo Clinic, laser resurfacing can't remove deep lines and wrinkles but is an option for fine to moderate wrinkles. The outer layers of skin are destroyed by a high-intensity beam of light energy. The procedure can be painful, so the professional performing the procedure usually gives a local anesthetic to the patient. The cost can range from $750 to $7,500.
