Watch the Fireworks
Fun for persons of all ages and a good spot for families is the fireworks show at Navy Pier. Every year at the stroke of midnight, the city of Chicago puts on a fireworks show to celebrate the arrival of a new year. The event is free and a good spot to bring hot coco or herbal tea for the kids to enjoy and some blankets or cushions to sit on, because the wind off Lake Michigan is often chilly in the winter.
