The Best Things to Do in Long Beach, Washington

This popular tourist destination has numerous activities available to keep visitors active and outside in the fresh Washington air. These activities include golfing, a spacious farm and horseback riding along the beach.

Farm

Spend a few hours during your visit to Long Beach roaming through the grounds of the Green Angel Sustained Living Center. This center has a full ecosystem, ranging from growing food to composting and recycling. The Green Angel Sustained Living Center includes a working farm that grows certified organic produce, a yoga studio and a meditation center.

Biking

When in Long Beach, consider renting a bike so that you can explore the area and stay fit while on vacation. One place that rents bikes in Long Beach is the Long Beach Moped Rentals. It is open daily during the summer and on the weekends during the offseason.
Bikes are available for individuals of all ages. In addition to bikes, the location also rents mopeds, which can be ridden on the beach. Individuals have to have a valid driver's license to rent a moped.

Fitness

The Total Health Fitness Center in Long Beach offers a VOC-free fitness facility that is open 24-hours a day. Although the center offers memberships, it also allows for daily access by visitors on vacation. This fitness center has treadmills, free weights, classes and nutrition counseling.

Horseback Riding

One way to enjoy the nature around Long Beach is on horseback. At Back Country Wilderness Outfitters, visitors have the option to take several different trips on horseback.
One trip is along the beach, which takes approximately 1 to 2 hours, and trips are available to individuals of all ages. Another options is the Ribeye Ride, which is a 3 1/2- to 4-hour ride that goes along the water's edge and ends with a feast of USDA choice ribeyes.
For those who are not comfortable on horseback, the Wilderness Outfitters also offer wagon rides.

Golf

In Long Beach, visitors can play golf at the public Peninsula Golf Course, which is open year-round. This 9-hole golf course, where each hole is named after a U.S. Navy vessel that sank, is set on 55 acres.
In addition to playing a round on the course, visitors can sign up for golf lessons, which are available for individuals or as a group.
