Fun Weekend Ski Trips in Vermont

Vermont is located in the northeastern United States, in the New England region. The state is bordered by New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and the Canadian province of Quebec. Vermont has a strong tourism industry, particularly due to its abundance of winter sports activities, especially skiing. There are many ski resorts in Vermont that are suitable for weekend trips.

Stowe

Stowe Mountain Lodge is located in the town of Stowe in Vermont. Stowe Mountain Lodge is a luxurious resort that offers an abundance of fun winter sports activities, including skiing, sleigh riding, dog sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. The family-friendly ski resort has 116 trails. There are 485 acres of skiable landscape at the lodge.

West Wardsboro

Stratton Mountain Ski Resort, in existence since December of 1961, is a popular weekend skiing destination in the town of West Wardsboro, Vermont. Stratton Mountain Ski Resort is a vast snowboarding and skiing location and offers almost 600 acres of terrain suitable for skiing.

West Dover

Mount Snow Vermont is located in West Dover. It is a popular four-season resort that consists of 135 trails. Mount Snow Vermont is home to one of the biggest snowboarding and skiing schools in the New England region, with more than 400 active teachers involved. There are 37 miles of trails available.

Warren

Sugarbush Ski Resort is located in Warren, Vermont. In existence since the winter of 1958 (specifically, Sugarbush Ski Resort opened on Christmas day), the resort is notable for its diverse terrain. It is home to a terrain park, many gladed areas, six peaks and two mountains. There are 111 trails in total, which add up to about 53 miles.

Killington

Killington Ski Resort is located in the town of Killington in Vermont. It is one of the biggest ski resorts in all of New England and was opened in the winter of 1958. The resort comprises 71 miles of terrain, 22 lifts and 141 slopes. Other fun weekend activities are also available at the resort, such as sleighing, rock and ice climbing and snowmobiling.
