Considerations

The KOA in Oscoda is among and near ash trees. The invasive and damaging emerald ash borer insect threatens the ash trees in a number of Michigan counties. The State of Michigan urges vacationers not to transport firewood to prevent the spread of the borer. KOA does not permit its guests to bring their own firewood, but they sell firewood at the campground.
