Salicylic acid

It is most effective in treating non-inflammatory acne lesions. Salicylic acid does not have any effect on P. acnes or production of sebum, which is the natural oil on the skin. Once you stop using salicylic acid, the acne may return, so it is important to continuously apply it to the face.
Solodyn
Solodyn is an antibiotic medication that contains minocycline. It assists in fighting off and preventing bacteria from entering the body. Solodyn is effective in treating red bumps (which are non-nodular inflammatory lesions) and pimples that happen with moderate to severe acne. Solodyn should only be used for patients 12 years of age or older, according to Drugs.com. It does not have any effect on non-inflammatory lesions.
