Go Golfing
Golfing is a wonderful cardiovascular exercise. Whether you go solo or with a group of friends, golfing is a social sport that can last a whole day. Berlin, Maryland, a historic town on the eastern shore, has more than17 public courses to choose from. Oceans Resorts, an 18-hole regulation golf course, offers more than 6,500 yards of golf for a par of 72. With a course rating of 71.6 and a slope rating of 131, even experienced golfers can experience exciting golf. Deer Run Golf Golf Club is another picturesque course in Berlin. Deer Run has 18 holes over 6,105 yards at a par of 70.
Visit the Farmers Market
If you're looking for nutritious and budget-friendly options for meals on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, take a trip to one of the farmers markets in Easton and Oxford, Maryland. In addition to local farmers selling organic fruits and vegetables, flowers and plants, some markets, like Adkins Farmers Market, offer corn mazes and play areas. If you are looking for a healthier choice, buy organic produce at the Easton Farmers Market. Even in inclement weather, several indoor farmers markets are available on the Eastern Shore, including the Amish Country Farmers Market and the Oxford Farmers Market.
Fun in the Water
If you're looking for a physical activity that is relaxing and different, consider renting a paddleboat at Blackwater Paddle & Pedal Adventures. Watch the beautiful eastern Maryland shore landscape as you paddle down the river, or rent a powerboat if you want a little more speed. Kneeboarding and tubing are more adventurous opportunities for water lovers. Kayak rentals are also available. In addition to renting kayaks, Adventure Crafters offers kayak instruction and kayak tours along the Chesapeake Bay.
Parks and Beaches
The Eastern Shore is home to more than two miles of ocean beaches. Try swimming, surfing or jet skiing in the cool waters of the Atlantic. Take a day trip to Maryland's only oceanfront park, Assateague State Park. Located on a barrier island bearing the same name, Assateague State Park is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Sinepuxent Bay. The Wye Island Beach, located in Queen Anne County, is a small beach, perfect for fishing. If you're traveling with children, Betterton Beach, a small, life-guarded beach, located in Kent County, is a good choice, with fewer sea nettles than at the larger beaches.

Relax and unwind in a premier resort spa on the Eastern Shore. Several resorts offer professional spa services for their guests. Rejuvenate yourself at Linden Spa, a part of The Inn at Perry Cabin. This wellness-based spa and fitness center specializes in botanical complex facials and flower massages. Named after the linden trees that line the hotel's driveway, the Linden Spa utilizes blooms from the trees in the spa treatments. The spa also offers yoga classes and personal trainer sessions at the fitness center. The Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay offers specialized relaxation treatments, and the Spa at Harbour Inn, also located on Maryland's Eastern Shore, features holistic skin care treatments.
