A consistent daily facial exercise regimen can help to improve the look and feel of your skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, minimizing fatty tissue in all areas of the face and promoting a more toned look. Face flexing exercises do not require any special fitness equipment, and they can be used by virtually anyone to help exercise the 50+ muscles that make up the muscle structure of the human face.

Eyebrow Raise

For this face flexing exercise, simply raise your eyebrows as high as possible, and then transition into a frowning face. Repeat this cycle several times, and it will help to stretch many of the muscles in the face.

Closed-Eye Eyebrow Raise

This exercise is somewhat similar to a standard eyebrow raise, but there are slight variations. Close your eyes tightly together. While keeping your eyelids closed, make the motion of opening your eyes by lifting your eyebrows as high as possible. Hold each movement for a few moments before resting. Complete at least 10 repetitions per set.

Nose Wrinkle

This facial stretch is performed by simply wrinkling your nose. Hold each movement for a five count before resting. Perform 10 repetitions of this face flexing exercise.

Upper Lip Stretch

Stretch and flex the muscles controlling your upper lip by sticking out your upper lip and holding it for a five count before resting.

Cheeks and Lips Exercise

To work the muscles that control the cheeks and lips, suck on your finger as hard as you can for a couple of seconds before releasing. This sucking motion will strengthen the lower half of your face and within time will help to reduce the appearance of fat cheeks. Do at least 10 repetitions of this exercise.

Lower Lip Flex

Exercise your lower lip by making a pouty face with your lower lip sticking out and holding this position for a three count before returning to the starting position. A total of 10 repetitions is adequate for flexing the muscles of the lower lip and chin area.

Full Facial Stretch

You can effectively stretch most the facial muscles by combining many of the exercises above and doing them all at the same time. Essentially, you want to make sort of an excited, surprised look on your face by simultaneously lifting your eyebrows, opening your mouth and eyes as wide as possible and squeezing your neck muscles. Hold this movement for a two count before resting your face. This face flexing exercise can be completed several times per day at 10 repetitions per set.
