Christmas Crunchin Abs

Though our abs may be hidden by those holiday sweaters, it doesn't mean that they should be ignored. Here are a few suggestions for getting six-pack abs during the holiday season.
1. Crunches, sit-ups and ab machines are not the only way to get strong six-pack abs. If you have been doing the basic crunch for years without seeing results, you may need to mix it up a little. Just like any other muscle, ab muscles have memory, and if you repeat the same exercise all the time, your body will never change. Check the video list below for alternative ways to get those flat abs.

4. Ab-belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers--there are ab-gimmicks; instead, try getting your abs through real workouts and eating real healthy food!
5. Workouts such as cardio ball and kettle ball classes are great ways to get six-pack abs without wasting money on an ab-rocker machine. Both of these workouts focus on movements that incorporate the core, and add light resistance to enhance muscle-sculpting. These exercises can also diminish the boredom of crunching, crunching and more crunching.
6. Remember that abs can be worked every day through the holiday season, so go to it and you will look svelte by New Years!
