As of 2008, men's grooming products made up about 8 percent of the global beauty market, representing a value of around $21.7 billion and demonstrating a growing male interest in beauty treatments, according to Skin Inc. magazine, a spa industry trade publication. The men's grooming industry is a growing sector, and men looking for grooming treatments will find themselves with many options to choose from.

Skin Treatment

Men's skin is susceptible to the same signs of aging as women's skin. Over time, skin thins, causing wrinkles, rough patches and uneven skin tone. While Details magazine says you can slow down the signs of aging by adding a daytime skin cream with vitamin C to fight free radicals and a nighttime cream with coffee-berry to repair damaged cells, to really make wrinkles and lines less noticeable, you should consider booking a 20 percent glycolic acid peel with your dermatologist three or four times a year. The peel, which works like a super-powered exfoliator, helps to clear away dead skin cells to reveal younger-looking skin beneath.

Hair Removal Treatment

Shaving is a regular activity for many men, but it's not the only way to remove hair--or even the only hair you might want to remove. If your eyebrows are unruly, Leon Kircik, M.D., medical director of Physicians Skin Care in Louisville, Ky., suggests in Men's Fitness magazine that you visit a salon to have them properly tweezed. If you have hair you want to get rid of permanently--for example, a shaggy back--four or five sessions with an Nd:YAG laser will burn away unwanted hair from the follicles up so that it doesn't grow back, according to Men's Fitness.

Hand and Feet Treatment

Manicures and pedicures can improve the appearance of your hands and feet significantly, according to GQ magazine. You can take the do-it-yourself route by exfoliating rough spots--pay special attention to your heels and toes--using a nail brush and slathering on generous amounts of moisturizing cream. Or, you can book a manicure-pedicure session. Extend the life of your manicure by wearing protective gloves when you're doing wet or potentially damaging activities--such as housework--and opt for cotton or cashmere socks to maintain clean, healthy feet, recommends GQ.
