The town of Seabrook, New Hampshire, is located in the southeast corner of the state on the Atlantic seashore. The town is a bustling summer community because of its miles of beaches that it connect to the Massachusetts shoreline to the south. Several camping areas are located in and around Seabrook, some of which are located in Salisbury, Massachusetts, which is mere minutes from the center of town.
Black Bear Campground
Located just minutes from Seabrook and Salisbury beaches, the Black Bear campground features RV and primitive campsites. The park has modern restroom facilities including two in-ground swimming pools, a volleyball and basketball court as well as a large playground with swings. The campground is mere minutes from great hiking at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport.
Rusnik Campground
Rusnik Campground is located just 5 minutes from Seabrook in neighboring Salisbury. Open from mid-May through Columbus Day, the campground has more than 150 tent camping sites. The facility also features a duck pond, softball field, coin-operated showers and a 9-hole miniature golf course. Visitors can try to catch dinner by surf-casting for rockfish at nearby Salisbury beach.
Pines Camping Area
The Pines camping area is 10 minutes from Seabrook. Its tent campsites look out onto the distant marshes of the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. Complete with its own general store, the Pines also features a trash dumping station and sand horseshoe pit as well as picnic tables and fire rings at every site. The slow waters of the nearby river are ideal for canoeing and many local outfits offer equipment rentals.
Tuxbury Pond
The Tuxbury Pond RV resort is located just 15 minutes west of Seabrook. The campground is home to more than 100 campsites, many of which are located directly on the pond. Theme weekends and Saturday night dances are a staple of the summer season. An adult fitness center with exercise equipment and video game room are also on the grounds. Guests can take a row boat out on to Tuxbury Pond or practice their kayak skills.
Hampton Beach State Park
The Hampton Beach State Park offers some of the East Coast's best camping mere minutes from Seabrook. Tent camping sites as well as RV sites with water, electric and sewer hookups are available at the park. Several cabins are also available for rent. Its 28 campsites are all situated with walking access to the ocean. The waters off Hampton Beach are patrolled by lifeguards and have a surf that's ideal for bodysurfing, wakeboarding and boogie boarding.
