Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and one of the first places that signs of aging begin to appear. This may include wrinkles, sagging and changes in skin tone. Several department store and drugstore anti-aging skin creams can help rejuvenate and firm up your skin for a younger, healthier look.
NeoStrata Multi-Protective Day Creme SPF 15
NeoStrata's day cream was tested and rated by skincare expert Paula Begoun as very good. It includes polyhydroxy acids---a form of alpha hydroxy acid, which the University of Maryland Medical Center says can help reduce wrinkles---in an emollient cream base that moisturizes while it works its anti-aging effects. Begoun also liked the manufacturer's inclusion of titanium dioxide, which helps screen out the sun's UV light.
Olay Regenerist
Olay's entire Regenerist line was the top-rated product in the Consumers Union's 12-week test of over-the-counter anti-aging treatments. The results were publicized in the non-profit organization's magazine, "Consumer Reports." The testers found it one of the most effective products tested, and also noted that its price was a high value. The line includes a day cream and a night cream. The testers also liked the Regenerist serum.
Nu Skin Tru Face IdealEyes Eye Refining Cream
Nu Skin designed its Tru Face anti-aging eye cream to target wrinkles and under-eye puffiness. Begoun tested it and gave it her rare "Paula's Pick" designation, which means it performed better than expected. She liked the manufacturer's use of a "good amount of stabilized vitamin C," plus other antioxidants and skin conditioners that leave the eye area moisturized and potentially firmer.
MD Skincare Powerful Sun Protection SPF 45 Sunscreen Cream
Sunscreen works as the most critical anti-aging facial cream, according to "Women's Health" magazine's panel of dermatologists. Begoun reviewed MD Skincare's sunscreen and found it to be one of the top sunscreens on the market. Not only does it have a high SPF, but she says it also has "iron-encapsulating chelating" effects and contains "unique antioxidants" that can help further defend against wrinkles. Since it's fragrance-free, it has a less likely chance of irritating even sensitive skin.
