The Family Kingdom is seaside and offers both an amusement park and a water park. Wild Water and Wheels is mainly a large water park that also has miniature golf, go karts and bumper boats. On summer Friday nights, Wild Water and Wheels hosts a dance party to heat up the night.
Entertainment
If you are looking for a break from the sun, the entertainment in Myrtle Beach can't be beat. The Ripley Entertainment company has six separate attractions in Myrtle Beach. The aquarium offers exhibits, restaurants and shops. This is the best place to go to see a shark at the beach. The Haunted Adventure and the Believe It Or Not Museum are spooky, bizarre and odd. The Super Fun Zone is a state of the art gaming arcade where you can get your video fix, and then move onto the Mirror Maze with floor to ceiling mirrors sure to spin your head. At the Movie Theater you can live the thrill of the movies as your seat moves with the action. This is a 4D virtual reality simulator that takes you through every turn of the action.
Water Sports
Myrtle Beach offers many choices when it comes to water sports and adventures. The full range of water activities from relaxation to heart pounding thrills can be found here. Rent a sailboat, take a dolphin-watching tour or kayak through the back bays and enjoy the slow, relaxing pace of the beach. If you are looking for something a little more adventurous, you can rent a jet ski, ride on a banana boat, or go para-sailing and windsurfing. You can even escape the world by scuba diving into the beauty below the ocean waves.
Shopping
Myrtle Beach's central shopping and visiting attraction is a 350-acre festival complex with more than 100 shops specialty shops. This is Broadway at the Beach and is visited by more than 14 million visitors each year. Myrtle Beach's hottest clubs and nightspots can also be found here for your evening entertainment.
Festivals
Myrtle Beach is known for celebrations, special events and beach festivals throughout the year. The Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival and the Sun Fun Festival are held each summer with music, live entertainment and food. The Grand Strand Fishing Rodeo is a fishing competition sponsored by the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. Fishing tournaments are held in Myrtle Beach from April through October of each year.
