There are many factors that can cause sagging breasts, such as genetics, the aging process, rapid weight loss, pregnancy or a lack of estrogen brought on by menopause. Regardless of the cause of sagging breasts, there is no concrete cure, but there are ways to stop them from getting worse and keep them as toned as possible. One of those ways is through various exercises. In order to do them, you will need a few pieces of equipment.
Step 1
Do some pushups. To do pushups, come into a plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your arms straight. Slowly lower yourself down towards the ground by bending your elbows. When you are about four inches off the floor, push yourself all the way back up.
Step 2
Perform inclined chest presses. Adjust an inclined bench so it is at a 60-degree angle. Grab two dumbbells and lie on the bench with the dumbbells resting on top of your thighs. Lift them up, turn your palms forward and press the dumbbells straight up over your chest. Slowly lower them down and repeat.
Step 3
Do some chest flys. Lie on the flat bench with a dumbbell in each hand. Lift them straight up in the air above your chest and slowly lower them down to your sides until your arms are about parallel to the floor, then lift them back up. Keep your elbows slightly bent throughout the exercise.
Step 4
Squeeze the ball. Make fists and grab a Swiss ball in the center with the inside of your wrists contacting it. Lift it straight up in the air with your arms straight out in front of you. Squeeze as hard as you can for 30 seconds, rest and repeat. Keep your back straight and your knees slightly bent throughout.
Step 5
Work your back muscles. If you continually work your chest muscles, you might be able to tone up your sagging breasts, but you will also cause muscle imbalances. To stop this from happening, do some back exercises such as back rows, lat pulldowns and pullovers.
Tips and Warnings
- If you cannot do a conventional pushup, start off by placing your hands on a table, chair or bench. When doing your chest presses, do not allow the weights to hit each other when you lift them up. Stop them about an inch away from each other.
