The symptoms of damaged skin are widely varied but often exhibit themselves as premature signs of aging, like skin discolorations--also known as age spots or liver spots--or fine lines around your mouth or eyes. Help your skin repair itself and regain some of its youthful firmness and softness with an anti-aging skin cream that's specifically formulated to help repair and replenish your cells.

Darphin Paris Vital Protection Age-Defying Soothing Lotion

Darphin Paris' anti-aging cream helps to repair your damaged skin with a combination of fatty acids, emollients and antioxidants, reports skincare expert Paula Begoun. She notes that many of the antioxidants are derived from all-natural plant sources. They can help to both repair and defend your skin from future damage while the fatty acids help hydrate your cells.

Mario Badescu Vitamin E Body Lotion

The editors of "Women's Health" magazine rated Mario Badescu's vitamin E-enriched cream as one of the best beauty products available. They found it to be a "perfecting" formula that helps you achieve the healthy skin you want. Natural emollients, like wheat germ oil and peanut oil, help to smooth and hydrate your skin for a smoother, softer appearance. Additional moisturizers, like honey extract, feed your skin with trace vitamins while vitamin E additives condition your skin surface and shield it from the effects of free radicals.

La Roche-Posay Redermic UV SPF 15

Begoun tested La Roche-Posay's skin cream and found its efficacy was "very good." It combines a proprietary antioxidant complex with vitamin C, which Begoun says may together help to improve the appearance and health of damaged skin. She also liked the manufacturer's inclusion of avobenzone, a potent sunscreen ingredient that helps prevent further damage to your skin cells from exposure to UV light.

Olay Definity 14 Day Skin Rehabilitation

Olay's anti-aging kit comes in a three-part product package that combines several different individually packaged creams. Begoun says each of the creams are formualted with "state-of-the-art ingredients" in "efficacious amounts." Combined, she says, they can effectively repair damaged skin barriers, reduce skin tone discolorations related to surface damage, and exfoliate the surface of your skin for potentially fewer wrinkles. Active ingredients include beta hydroxy acids, niacinamide and glucosamine.
