Exercising the muscles in the face near the brow line can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in the forehead. Additionally, face exercises help to increase blood circulation to the face, which leads to a more youthful, healthy appearance. Facial exercises offer an effective alternative to plastic surgery and other similar medical procedures, such as Botox.

Upper Eye and Brow Lift

Cynthia Rowland Beauty Systems offers an all-natural treatment for strengthening the muscles in the forehead. Begin by relaxing your eyebrows and placing your three middle fingers from each hand under each eyebrow. Push your eyebrows upward and slightly outward with your fingers; hold this position. Next, slowly push down with your eyebrows while your fingertips resist the movement; hold for five seconds and then relax. Repeat this movement, but this time hold the rep for 10 seconds, and close your eyes by the seventh second. Again, repeat this exercise two more times, and then relax your face and take several deep, cleansing breaths to promote circulation to the face.

Eyebrow Lift

A simple four-step exercise published by the Ohio State University Medical Center can help to erase signs of aging in the forehead quickly and easily. Hold each movement for a few moments before moving to the next. Do a total of approximately 10 cycles. Begin this face exercise regimen by raising your eyebrows as high as you can until you see wrinkles in your forehead. Next, transition your face into a frowning facial expression. You then want to close your eyes very tightly. Finally, keep your eyelids closed while opening your eyes and simultaneously lifting your eyebrows. Make sure to use exaggerated facial expressions for each movement in order to achieve the best results.

Eyebrow Resistance

Muscles need resistance in order to build strength and give you that toned look you want. By providing some light resistance to a basic eyebrow lift exercise, you can strengthen your upper face muscles quicker than your could without any resistance. To begin this exercise, place both index fingers just above your eyes. Next, lift your eyebrows as high as possible while resisting the movement with your index fingers. Hold each repetition for a few seconds before relaxing. Do a total of 10 repetitions. According to Todays-Woman.co.uk, this exercise will help provide a natural lift and a more youthful overall appearance after several weeks.
