Sexy aerobics classes help women tap into their inner sexuality. Sexy exercise programs have found a niche in health clubs and on DVDs for home use. They help to improve women's self confidence while they burn calories to assist in weight loss.

Pole Dancing

Pole dancing teaches women to dance using a fixed vertical pole of teh kind often found in gentlemen's clubs. Women dance around the pole and perform "tricks" that involve flipping and climbing on the pole. The exercise class builds upper body strength because participants need to hold their body weight in inverted positions. The lower body gets a workout when exercisers climb the pole--gripping it with their inner thighs. The dancing part of the class raises your heart rate and burns calories. According to a CNN report in August 2008, women can drop 40 to 50 pounds by participating in regular pole dancing classes.

Belly Dancing

Belly dancing emphasizes the muscles of the hips and abdominals with sexy sashaying and swiveling. Some of the dances require significant cardiovascular endurance. According to instructor Aisha Ali, in a CNN online article from 2003, belly dancing is soft on the joints, but uses hundreds of muscles, helps burn calories and helps people de-stress. Learning to move the hips and gyrate the pelvis is not easy. Belly dancing classes feature authentic music, scarves and other accessories. These aspects make the workout fun, helping women adhere to a regular program.

Strip Aerobics

Strip aerobics classes feature sexy moves borrowed from exotic dancing. According to the Idea Health and Fitness Association, these classes help you lose weight through sultry shimmying, shaking and strutting. The classes may be fun and campy, but they get women moving---which helps burn calories. Striptease aerobics usually do not include actually taking off your clothes; rather, you practice moves used in lap dances and burlesque performances. If you are too intimidated to join a strip aerobics class in a health club, check out one of many DVDs that allow you to perform the moves in the privacy of your own home.
