How beautiful you look and feel will affect your self confidence, social interactions, work performance and overall health. While true beauty comes from within, there are tips you can use to assist your normal beauty regimen. Include these important beauty tips in your daily routine to keep yourself healthy---on the inside and the outside.

Have a Micro-Dermabrasion Facial Treatment

Rejuvenate your face with a micro-dermabrasion treatment. You can have a professional beautician perform this procedure, or do it yourself at home with an over-the-counter micro-dermabrasion kit. Micro-dermabrasion consists of massaging tiny micro-crystals into your skin. This loosens dead skin cells and stimulates collagen production for healthy-looking skin. Micro-dermabrasion should not be done more than once a week.

Steam and Scrub Your Body

Steam rooms detoxify your body by eliminating toxic chemicals through sweat. Your pores are opened up to allow the excessive amounts of sweat out, thereby cleansing the surface of your skin. Sit in a steam room for 15 minutes. Drink plenty of water prior to this, and bring a water bottle in with you. Take a shower and use a body scrub from head to toe to exfoliate your dead skin cells.

Maintain Healthy Hair

Depending on how fast your hair grows, you should get it cut or trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks. Use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week to give your hair extra nourishment. You can also use a home remedy, such as olive oil, instead of a deep conditioner.

Get a Manicure

Treat yourself with a trip to a salon for a professional manicure. If this is too expensive, give yourself a professional-looking manicure at home. Trim your nails, then file them down to seal the tips. Soak your nails in water for 10 minutes. Use a cuticle stick to push the cuticles back. Paint your nails with your favorite color, or use a clear polish for a natural glossy finish.

Stay Healthy on the Inside

Drink plenty of water every day to stay hydrated. Water is essential for keeping your appearance healthy, according to freebeautytips.org. To prevent dehydration, make sure you drink water before exercise or any other vigorous activity. Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet, and cut down your sugar intake. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. If you are not a hardcore athlete, you can take a 30 minute walk. And allow your body to repair by sleeping at least eight hours every night.

Protect Your Skin From the Sun

Protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays by using a sunblock with a sun protection factor of 15 or higher. Any part of your skin that's regularly exposed to the sun should be covered with sunblock every single day of the year. In addition to using a waterproof sunblock at the beach or pool, use a moisturizing body lotion containing sunscreen on your entire body on a daily basis.
