Although famous people may look naturally fit, they have to work hard to maintain their physical condition. They often hire experienced personal trainers to design workout programs to keep them in top shape. You can also benefit from the knowledge of these trainers by performing the same exercises and workout routines they recommend to their celebrity clients.

Biceps and Shoulders Exercise

According to her personal trainer Michael George, Reese Witherspoon, an award winning actress, tones her arms and shoulders by performing an exercise combining biceps curls and shoulder presses. Sit upright on an exercise ball and hold light dumbbells at your sides with your palms facing forward. Bend both arms at the same time to lift the weights to your shoulders. Turn your palms forward once again and extend your arms to press the weights overhead. Slowly reverse the movement and repeat for three sets of 20 reps.

Rotational Sit-Ups

Cameron Diaz, a model and actress who has starred in popular films such as “Charlie’s Angels” and “There’s Something About Mary,” performs rotational sit-ups to strengthen and tone her abdominal muscles. Lie on your back with your knees bent, feet flat on the ground and hands behind your head. Cross your left foot over your right knee and repeatedly lift your upper body and turn, bringing your right elbow to your left knee. Perform 20 reps and then switch sides.

Sprints

Tiger Woods, the world’s top ranked professional golfer, runs sprints as part of his physical conditioning program. Sprints strengthen your buttocks, hamstrings, quadriceps and calves and train your anaerobic energy system. Perform sprints at maximum intensity for 10 to 100 yards. Walk slowly back to the starting line following each sprint to recover.

Treadmill Mud Walk

Actress Demi Moore’s personal trainer, Gregory Joujon-Roche, has her walk on a treadmill as if she is walking through mud to work her buttocks and improve her cardiovascular fitness. Warm-up for three minutes on a flat treadmill and then increase the incline significantly. While walking uphill, “bend your knees and dig into the treadmill with your heels,” according to Joujon-Roche. Do this 10 times for one to two minutes each. Decrease the incline and walk normally between sets.

Triceps Kickbacks

Daniel Craig, an actor who starred in the movie “Casino Royale,” performs triceps kickbacks to build his triceps muscles. Bend forward, place your left hand on your left knee for support, and hold a dumbbell in your right hand with your right arm bent and elbow by your side. Extend your right arm backward to lift the weight and then slowly return to the starting position. Keep your elbow by your side throughout the movement. Perform eight to 12 reps with each arm.
