How to Use Acuvue 2 Colours Contacts

Acuvue 2 Colours contact lenses are prescription lenses manufactured by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. These contact lenses are available with vision correction or without vision correction so that they may be worn solely to change the color of the eye. Available in 10 color selections, Acuvue 2 Colours are soft contact lenses approved for daily or extended wear. Even if vision correction is not required by the wearer the lenses must legally be fitted by an eye care professional to ensure the health and safety of the wearer.

Step 1

Wash your hands with soap and water prior to handling any contact lens.

Step 2

Plug the sink drain or place a towel in the sink to prevent the lenses from being lost down the drain if dropped.

Step 3

Open the box of Acuvue 2 Colours and remove a single lens package. Take notice if the box is marked with a "right" or "left" indicator to avoid mixing up the lenses. Start with the same eye every time to avoid future mix ups.

Step 4

Shake the lens package to assure the lens is floating in the solution and not stuck to the top of the package.

Step 5

Peel the foil back from the lens package and remove the lens. Examine the lens for signs of damage. Lenses removed from a package damaged may be replaced by an eye care provider.

Step 6

Insert the Acuvue 2 Colours lens per an eye care professional's instructions. Wear instructions, including insertion and removal directions, should be provided individually to each patient by a doctor.
