Las Vegas has morphed from the infamous “Sin City” into an American playground for all ages. Casinos may continue to be the big draw for Las Vegas, but that does not mean anyone is left out from enjoying a wide assortment of day and night activities. Each year, Las Vegas draws a larger volume of families than the year before. As of 2010, the under 21 crowd will find the new Vegas an entertaining and exciting hot spot.
The Lights at Night
Glowing neon and flashing colors are the trademark of Las Vegas. What better way to get the full color experience than from the air. The Apollo Night Flight helicopter tour takes you over the 5-star hotels along the strip for a bird’s eye view of Las Vegas glitz and glamour. From the towering stratosphere to the Luxor beam, Las Vegas from the air is a magnificent sight. A DVD recording of the two-hour flight is available after you land.
ATV Tour of the Desert
An exhilarating ATV tour makes for a thrilling Las Vegas desert adventure. This hotel-to-hotel tour by Desert Adventure allows you to race through washes, dunes and sand stone trails for a view of Lake Meade, the entrance to the Grand Canyon. Breathtaking views on top of mesas are perfect photo opportunities. The self driven tour takes you along private trails for six hours of beautiful south western desert scenery.
Exotic Driving Experience
If you are 18 and have a valid driver’s license then strap on your helmet for the Exotics Racing School at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Here is your chance to thunder around the track in your choice of a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Audi or Porsche. After classroom instruction you will climb into one of the powerful machines with a private racing instructor. With you behind the wheel, the instructor will show you how to get the most out of these exotic powerhouses. Lessons in braking and acceleration capped with steering techniques, will give you a five-lap thrill of a lifetime.
Thrill Rides
For the thrill seeking individual, head over to New York, New York for the roller coaster, and then over to The Stratosphere for the Big Shot. If you want to experience 4-Gs of eye bulging thrust. Big Shot is 1,087 feet above the strip, guaranteed to give an adrenaline rush to remember. You can wrap up the adrenaline rush with a little indoor sky diving at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. You won’t have to worry about your parachute not opening in the 22-foot high padded wind tunnel.
Las Vegas Shows
Next to gambling, world class shows draw the most people to Las Vegas. Experience the original Mind Freak, Chris Angel, as he performs some of the most baffling magic ever seen. The long running Blue Man Group is a highly unusual but equally entertaining experience. For a circus with a twist, Cirque du Soleil has O and Mystere for long-term runs. The shows change but the quality remains the same. Regardless of what show is playing, there will be fabulous entertainment for the under 21 crowd.
