Turner Falls is a small town in central Oklahoma, which is named for the states largest 70-foot waterfall. The towns scenic wilderness and natural beauty make it a popular tourist and camping destination. There area numerous tent and RV campsites available. Most require reservations and are seasonal, so be sure to call ahead.
Turner Falls Park
Turner Falls Park is a small campground which offers a number of tent, RV sites and cabins for nightly and extended rental. All campsites have water, electrical and sewage hookups. Cabin amenities include two full beds, small fridge, bathroom, and A/C. For recreation, there are a number of natural features such as a large waterfall, caves, as well as trails and swimming in springs. The park has a number of concession stands for guests, and a convenience store for basic camping needs.
Arbuckle RV Resort
Arbuckle RV Resort is a rustic campground and RV resort that sits on 20 acres, just seven miles outside of Turner Falls. All RV sites are equipped with water, electrical, sewage, cable hookups and wireless Internet. For recreation, there are several private fishing ponds that do not require a fishing license, as well basketball and volleyball courts, a swimming pool and a childrens' playground. Pets are welcome at the park and there is also a large off-leash dog park on site.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area
Chickasaw National Recreation Area is an expansive wildlife and camping area covering nearly 10,000 acres and has with six major campsites on its premises. The two largest campsites, Rock Creek and Buckhorn, have more than 100 campsites, which can fully accommodate tent and RV campers. Group sites, covered recreation areas and cabins are also available at these locations. Only Rock Creek campsite is open year round, with each varying according to staffing and weather conditions. There are a number of excellent lakes on the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, most are available for swimming and fishing.
KOA Campground
The KOA Campground in Choctaw, located 20 miles outside of Turner Falls, has more than 40 campsites for tent and RV rental. All campsites include electrical, water, sewage hookups and free Internet access. The pool is open during summer months, with horses and volleyball available year round. There is a convenience store on site for basic campground necessities, a small playground as well as a dog park and hiking trails.
Twin Fountains RV Park
Twin Fountains RV Park is a secluded RV campground and community with more than 60 sites available for nightly and extended rental. The park caters primarily to families and long-term campers with amenities that include multiple playgrounds, covered pavilions, a lodge and recreation house. There is also a private license-free fishing pond.
