Camping in Branson, Missouri

Branson, Missouri, also referred to as the Live Music Show Capital of the World, is home to more than 50 theaters, three lakes, a dozen golf courses and many other attractions. Campgrounds are also abundant throughout Branson. Whether you prefer camping in a tent, RV or cabin, Branson is sure to have a campground that meets your needs.

RV Camping

Branson, Missouri, offers more than a dozen RV camping options including the RV-exclusive Pea Patch RV Park and Ozark County Campground. Each of these campgrounds provides a swimming pool, on-site laundry, full-RV hookups and cable television. Both campgrounds are also pet friendly, and Ozark County Campground has an area to walk your leashed dog. Campfires are not permitted at Pea Patch RV Park, but are allowed at Ozark County Campground.

Tent Camping

If tent camping is more your thing, you will be pleased to know that most of Branson Missouri’s campgrounds also accommodate tents. One such campground is the Branson KOA Campground and Convention Center, which has electrical and water hookups available at its tent sites. There are many on-site activities and amenities including a swimming pool, jumping pillow, playground, boating, horseshoes and shuffleboard. A dog park, gift shop and restaurant are also located on site.

Cabins

If you are seeking the camping experience, because you don’t have a tent or RV, you may want to check out the cabins available at Cooper Creek Resort. One-, two- and three-bedroom cabins are available, each with fully-equipped kitchens, private bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans and decks or porches. The campground is located on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, which is famous for its trout fishing.

State Park

Table Rock State Park, located along the shores of Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, provides an area for tent and RV camping, with either basic, electrical-only hookups or full-sewer/water/electrical hookups. The campground also has restrooms, showers and on-site laundry. Activities provided at the state park include boating, fishing, scuba diving and para-sailing.

Recreational Activities

The Branson, Missouri, area has more than 200 miles of trails that can be used for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Some of the more popular trails are the Lakeside Wilderness Hiking Trail, the trails in the Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area, Table Rock Lakeshore Trail and the paved Showboat Branson Belle. The Mark Twain National Forest, with 75,000 acres of forest containing trails for hiking and backpacking, is also only a short drive from Branson.
