How to Jump on a Mini Trampoline to Get Into Shape

A mini trampoline, also known as a rebounder, is a piece of exercise equipment that offers a low impact workout to burn calories and reduce stress. With a mini trampoline, you can control the intensity, speed and complexity of your movements. Exercising regularly on a mini trampoline can boost your immune system and get you into shape. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program.

Step 1

Warm up lightly before you begin your workout. Bounce gently without losing contact with the trampoline. Shift your weight from side to side with each bounce. Add some light arm circles to loosen your upper body. Warm up for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Bounce on the mini trampoline in a straight up and down motion. Twist your hips in the air with each bounce so that your feet are pointing from side to side. Keep your hands on your hips, or perform arm curls for a more advanced exercise.

Step 3

March in place on the mini trampoline. Raise your knees as high as you can. For the advanced, hold your hands out, palms down and touch your knees to your hands with each step.

Step 4

Move your feet forward and backward in a cross country ski motion. Bounce lightly and use your arms as if you were holding ski poles.

Step 5

Perform standard jumping jacks on your mini trampoline. Land heavily and get as much height as possible to work your legs and cardiovascular system harder.

Tips and Warnings

  • Flex your knees well if you jump high to avoid injury.
