Nicknamed “The Magic Isle,” it’s easy to see why Conde Nast Traveler continues to vote Maui as the “Best Island.” From the natural wonders, picturesque views, and lovely beaches; the second largest Hawaiian island welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Honeymooners and families fly to Maui to relax and indulge in what the island has to offer. While swimming in the warm waters of the ocean is one way to enjoy the beauty of the island, Maui also has some of the best pools in all of Hawaii. The best pools in Maui are a great place for the health-conscious to swim to stay fit while on vacation.

For Adults Only

Boasting two incredible pools, the Grand Wailea should be your first stop if you’re looking for the best pools in Maui. Adults can enjoy the 18 and over only Hibiscus pool named for the huge Hibiscus flower adorning the bottom of the pool floor and created with more than 630,000 Mexican glass mosaic tile pieces. The Hibiscus pool is an enormous 4,850 square-feet and exquisitely covered in more than 2.2 million tiles. It provides gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and allows guests the chance to relax in a quiet adult-only environment.

The Grand Wailea has an amazing six level children’s activity pool with more than 770,000 gallons of water. The Wailea Canyon activity pool has nine individual pools spread over the six levels of fun to keep kids entertained for days. The activity pool is a total of 25,700 square-feet with the highest point at 40 feet. Children will enjoy the variety of the pools as they can choose to swim down one of four water slides, play under six waterfalls, swing on a rope like Tarzan, or ride the world’s only water elevator. Children will also enjoy the Hyatt Regency Maui’s activity center featuring a 3,000 square-foot pool and 25-foot slide. There are fun adventures to be made with the sandy shores surrounding the pool, a small island floating in the center and beautiful fountains spouting water.

The guests looking for a more relaxing experience; a swim through a grotto nestled between two waterfalls awaits. Another resort offering amazing swimming pools for traveling adults and families to enjoy is the Hyatt Regency Maui. The Lahaina pool and Napili pool are the hotels’ two free-formed pools placed at the edge of the Pacific Ocean for picturesque views and relaxing breezes. The natural beauty of the pools at the Hyatt makes this place one of the best swimming pools in Maui. Tropical plants and trees surround the pools with serene waterfalls splitting the Lahaina pool and Napili pool. A hidden underwater cave and Grotto Bar is situated beneath the waterfalls for guests to swim into. The Napili pool has many features to please everyone in the family including a 150-foot lava tube water slide and a rope bridge.
