Homemade Sugar Pore Reducer

Pores are tiny openings in the skin that allow for excretion of oil. When dead skin cells or dirt blocks pores, they expand. There are varieties of over-the-counter treatments for enlarged pores, but one of the simplest methods is an exfoliating mixture made at home. This sugar scrub formula provides components that will moisturize, remove dirt and debris as well as tighten pores to give your face a fresh feeling and look.

Step 1

Mix 1 tsp. olive oil, honey and lemon juice together in a mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add 1/2 tsp. white sugar crystals to the mixture. Do not stir the crystals into the compound. Let the sugar sit on the top.

Step 3

Wash your face with a mild cleanser.

Step 4

Dip your fingers into the sugar mix and coat the tips with the compound.

Step 5

Scrub your face using with the sugar mix. Apply gentle pressure and move your hands in a circular pattern to cover the entire face.

Step 6

Rinse the sugar off with cold water. If necessary, rewash your face to remove any remaining sugar.

  • 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar

  • water
