Each cabin at the Blazing Star offers cable television, air-conditioned rooms, a microwave and fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator. Lucky fisherman can find channel catfish, blue catfish, hybrid striped bass and largemouth bass all living within the waters of the nearby Calaveras Lake. Campers who are pet owners can bring along their furry friends as long as they are on a leash. Also nearby are playgrounds for children and picnic areas for dining.

The Crownridge Canyon Natural Area is set up like an outdoor classroom for children and adults to attend nature presentations and walk through a 1.5-mile paved nature trail.
