Changes in weather, stress level or the natural process of aging can change the tone and texture of skin on the face. Going barefoot in summer can lead to rough and uneven skin on the feet. Fortunately, fruits provide an array of nutrients which can improve skin texture on the feet.

Collagen-Rich Fruits

Eat collagen-rich fruits instead of getting collagen injections. According to BBC Good Food, blueberries, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya and strawberries all produce collagen. The collagen strengthens the capillaries to provide more nourishment to the skin, leading to a fuller and plumper appearance. Dried apricots can also improve skin tone, notes the news service agency.

Lycopene-Rich Fruits

Melons are good sources of lycopene, which helps reduce collagen damage, notes WomenFitness.net. Eating muskmelon, also known as cantaloupe, is also a remedy for reducing eczema outbreaks, states MamaHerb.com. The orange orb melon is also a good source of beta-carotene. This vitamin can help prevent keratin plugs, accumulations of keratin at the hair follicles, which often manifest as bumps under the back of the upper arms, notes WomenFitness.net.

Bromelain Rich Fruits

Bromelain is a common meat tenderizer that naturally occurs in the skin of pineapple or kiwi, notes "Woman’s Day" magazine. The potency of the fruit can be particularly useful for exfoliating the skin on the feet. After you finish eating the fruit, rub the fleshy part of the skin along the bottom of each foot for five minutes, focusing on the toes and foot calluses. Rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly, then apply your favorite moisturizing lotion, suggests the magazine.
