Smart Cycle Instructions

The Fisher Price Smart Cycle is an educational toy designed for children 3 to 6 years old. The device consists of a stationary bicycle with a built-in console unit and a cable that connects to your television's input jacks. Once the toy is connected, the user inserts a special cartridge into a socket on the side of the cycle in order to activate a learning game; these games are designed to teach your child the basics of spelling, arithmetic and spatial reasoning.

Step 1

Grip the seat peg, located on the side of the frame. Turn the peg clockwise and pull it free. Insert the end of the seat into the opening at the top of the frame. Replace the seat peg and turn it counterclockwise.

Step 2

Lift the console unit and align it over the socket on the frame. Feed the attached wires into the interior of the console unit, then lower the end of the unit onto the socket. Push the unit into place until it is fully seated. Insert screws into the four holes located on the sides of the socket; tighten the screws until the console is properly secured.

Step 3

Lift the handlebar and align it over the socket at the top of the console unit. Plug the handlebar wires into the connector located inside the socket, then lower the handlebar into place. Slide the tab on the side of the handlebar into the matching slot on the console unit.

Step 4

Push down and forward on the handlebar until you feel it snap into place. Insert two screws into the holes at the top end of the handlebar and tighten them securely.

Step 5

Flip the device over and fit the base unit into the large groove on the bottom of the frame. Insert two screws through the holes on the base unit and tighten them securely. Fit the rear unit into the small groove and use another two screws to secure the unit to the frame.

Step 6

Insert the end of the right pedal into the hole on the right pedal axle. Turn the pedal clockwise as far as possible, then insert the assembly tool into the end of the pedal. Use the assembly tool to turn the pedal clockwise until the pedal is properly tightened. Repeat with the left pedal.

Step 7

Loosen the screws securing the battery compartment cover in place. Remove the cover insert four D batteries into the battery bay. Replace the cover and tighten the screws until the cover is properly secured.
