Offering an array of entertainment options and breathtaking views of nature, Branson is a popular tourist destination in Missouri. From playing the championship golf courses to enjoying walking tours of local area attractions, Branson visitors can enjoy a physically active and interesting Missouri vacation. Rather than staying at a traditional hotel, consider a rustic log cabin. Branson camping cabins allow guests to cook on a campfire, hike the nature trails and enjoy plenty of outdoor activities.

The “Pioneer Cabins” feature few amenities and claim to “give you a taste of how the early setters in the region lived,” according to the website. With one queen bed and one set of bunk beds, the cabin comfortable sleeps four people. The cabin does not include a bathroom, but has a fire ring and water spigot just outside. The “Rustic Cabins” and “Loft Cabins” all feature air-conditioning, heat, cable television, comfortable dining areas, ceiling fans, showers, microwaves, refrigerators and gas grills. For the convenience of campers, a general store and outdoor pool are located on-site. Additionally, all guests receive complimentary shuttle service to Silver Dollar City amusement park.
America’s Best Campground
Along with more than 100 spots for RVs and ample space for tent camping, America’s Best Campground also offers multiple cabins. The “Rhinestone Cowboy Cabin” has a bathroom and kitchenette and sleeps two comfortably, with an extra loft for additional guests. The larger “Comets Cabin” and “Breschler Family Cabin” both sleep six comfortably and feature a kitchen, bathroom and shower. Located just 500 feet from the Branson strip, guests at the Musicland cabins enjoy easy access to the world’s largest Titanic Museum. The site offers five basic Kamping Kabins, which are available only by reservation. All five cabins feature air-conditioning, color television and a covered porch. What to Do
Unless you spend your entire vacation sitting in a theater, your Branson vacation will keep you physically active. Branson is home to the Table Rock, Bull Shoals and Taneycomo Lakes, all of which offer several water activities. Visitors to Branson can swim, kayak, water ski and scuba dive. Or head to the Silver Dollar City amusement park for more than 60 acres worth of walking. If you would rather spend your time indoors, consider a walking tour of the local museums and area attractions.
What to Eat
Taking a vacation seems like the perfect excuse to eat quick and easy foods, which often tend to be unhealthy. Rather than falling into this habit, plan healthy snacks and meals to eat while camping in Branson. Whether you have a kitchen in your cabin or a campfire in your backyard, you can easily make a variety of quick and healthy meals. Use fresh vegetables, potatoes and chicken cubes to make kabobs for the grill or sauté fresh vegetables to wrap up in a whole-wheat tortilla. Feel free to enjoy roasted marshmallows while sitting around the campfire, but keep these unhealthy snacks to a minimum. As you visit local area attractions and explore the area, snack on fresh fruits, vegetables and granola.
