Home Remedy to Get Rid of Puffiness Under the Eyes

Puffiness that accumulates underneath your eyes is caused by fluid retention. This condition is temporary and poses no medical risk although it is aggravating to the sufferer. Step 1

Moisten a clean washcloth with cool water, wringing the cloth to removed excess water. Apply washcloth to the eyes and relax for up to five minutes. Step 3

Step 4

Sleep seven to eight hours per night to ensure adequate rest. According to the Mayo Clinic, this amount of time is ideal for adults to rest and rejuvenate the body. This prevents fluid from pooling underneath your eyes due to exhaustion.
