American College of Healthcare Sciences, in Portland, Oregon, offers a graduate certificate in aromatherapy, a certificate in natural products manufacturing, a diploma in aromatherapy and an associate of applied science in complementary alternative medicine degree with an aromatherapy minor. The college’s course offerings include an introduction to aromatherapy, bodily anatomy and physiology, historical and modern aromatherapy uses, and the active uses and constituents of various volatile oils. The college also teaches aromatherapy methods of administration, cautions and contraindications for each volatile oil and the physiological effects of aromatherapy treatment.
You can attend the American College of Healthcare Sciences online and also study abroad in Greece, and at the college’s campus, if desired. Aromahead Institute offers in-person instruction at the school’s Ithaca, New York, and Sarosota, Florida, campuses, and online distance learning for national and international students. The school offers an aromatherapy certification program that teaches professional aromatherapy uses for 60 essential oils.
