Menstrual Irregularity
Women taking Loestrin 24 may experience menstrual irregularity. They may notice a difference in the timing and duration of their menstrual cycle and experience breakthrough bleeding or spotting. According to Planned Parenthood, these side effects usually clear up after two to three months. Persistent menstrual irregularity should be brought to the attention of a gynecologist.
