Including a facial mask as part of your weekly skin care routine can help deep clean, moisturize and refresh your face and neck. Although specific ingredients for different types of facial masks depend on factors such as your skin type and purpose, most use ingredients you already have at home. You may choose to create a homemade facial mask because the ingredients are readily available and the process of making a facial mask is easy.

Cleansing Mask for All Skin Types

Step 1

Combine the yeast, yogurt, juices and olive oil in a bowl. Mix with a mixing spoon to form a thick paste.

Step 2

Spread the mixture evenly over your face and neck. Let it set for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the mask using a washcloth. Rinse well using cool to lukewarm water, and pat your face dry with a towel.

Avocado Mask for Dry Skin

Step 1

Mash the avocado in a bowl using a potato masher, and then mix in two or three drops of sweet almond oil. Stir until combined.

Step 2

Spread the mixture evenly over your face and neck. According to Free Makeup Tips, you can leave this facial mask on as long as you like to help nourish and soften your skin.

Step 3

Remove the mask using a washcloth. Rinse well using cool to lukewarm water, and pat your face dry with a towel.

Oatmeal Mask for Oily Skin

Add the honey to the egg yolk, mix and then slowly add the oatmeal until a soft paste forms.

Step 3

Spread the mixture evenly over your face and neck. Let it set for 15 minutes.
