Your baby's skin is thinner and more delicate than adult skin, so it needs special attention. Plus, you want to choose safe products that are free of potentially dangerous chemicals such as phthalates, dioxanes and parabens. Keep in mind, however, Safe Mama's advice to use less skin care products overall: "They don’t need to be slathered in lotions and powders. A little warm water and a washcloth is all they really need." For spot treatment of occasional dry or rashy skin, however, a safe and baby-friendly lotion or cream may be in order.
