Things To Do Near Seaworld In Orlando

Many activities are available near SeaWorld in Orlando. The city of Orlando has a good climate for year-round outdoor activities. Thrills for all ages can be found with aerial walkways, indoor skydiving, watersports and race car driving experiences. Tennis enthusiasts can find great tennis courts at the Orlando Tennis Center.

Indoor Skydiving

SkyVenture Orlando gives the experience of skydiving in a safe environment. The wind tunnel is used to practice by experienced skydivers. Instruction on the tunnel and how to use it properly are presented in a pre-flight class.

All necessary equipment is included in the price. One person at a time is allowed in the tunnel with their instructor. Finally, you will enter the tunnel with your class and take turns flying one-on-one with your instructor. Make reservations in advance.

Water Sports

The Orlando Watersports Complex is used for several watersports such as wakeboarding and water-skiing. No skill level is required to participate. The facility has two cableways. One is designated for beginners. Professional coaching is available.

The beginner cable park is full size and has a six-buoy slalom. Speeds can run up to 36 mph. Wakeboarders have their own cable in a eight obstacle lake. Rentals are on hand at Performance Ski and Surf at the facility.

Climb Around

Monkey Trunks features 35 aerial walkways on two courses. The walkways go up to 50 feet high. Getting to the grounds is most fun on zip lines, but stairs are also available.

There is no set time limit to complete either course, and guests are given as much time as they need. Online reservations are encouraged. Height, weight and physical abilities are considered before letting anyone participate.

Play Tennis

The Orlando Tennis Center is considered one of the best in the city. Public clinics work on every aspect of the game. Leagues run day and night during the year. Private lessons are provided for a fee.

Several tournaments are conducted at the courts including the Citrus Classic Men’s Pro Open. Special youth programs are in place for children 6 years old or older.

A NASCAR Experience

The Richard Petty Driving Experience is located at Walt Disney World. A valid drivers license is required. A manual transmission is used in all vehicles. Driving experiences require reservations. Ride-alongs are available on days of driving experiences and require no advance reservations.

Some days are designated exclusively for ride-alongs. Otherwise ride-alongs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All skill levels are welcome including those with no experience.

Safety is ensured with training and instruction throughout the experience. Liability waivers are required to participate. Limits for speed, locations and other factors are set for each student at the trainer’s discretion.
