This agricultural city thrives in northern California's San Joaquin Valley. Tracy's temperatures are mild throughout most of the year, making it the perfect location for outdoor adventures and activities. Tracy is centered in a triangle formed by interstates 5, 580 and 205, and is approximately an hour's drive from Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Jose.

Farmers' Market

Head to downtown Tracy to experience the weekly farmers' market. It's open most of the year, rain or shine. Not only will you find plenty of fresh produce, you will also be supporting local California farmers. Besides shopping, enjoy live music, food, and cooking demonstrations. Spend a day in the park

No matter where you are in Tracy, you're probably close to a park. Tracy has more than 70 parks with features for almost every outdoor enthusiast. Bring a baseball and bat, your bike, or roller blades. Run or walk on one of the trails; or spend a day playing volleyball, tennis, or soccer. Many parks offer barbecue pits, restroom facilities, and play areas for the kids.

Dry Bean Festival

This annual event is Tracy's tribute to the bean. The Dry Bean Festival is held in downtown Tracy during mid-September. Participate in the chili bean cookoff, and register for the 5K and 10K Bean Run. Bring the kids to the arts and crafts area. Watch live entertainment, check out classic cars at the car show, taste local food, and shop at a variety of vendor booths.

Summer Concert Series

Every summer, the city of Tracy offers a free, month-long concert series at Lincoln Park. Bring chairs and a picnic basket, and enjoy this family-oriented music event. Check the website below for location, times and band information.

Visual and performing arts

The Grand offers year-round popular and fine arts performances and exhibits. Visit the theatre to experience festivals, musical concerts, films, theatre and dance performances, classes, tours, and lectures. The Grand is located at 715 Central Avenue, in Tracy.
