Located in Logan, Ohio, Hocking Hills provides a year-round retreat for many vacationers and locals. The scenic landscapes and spectacular natural views are based around rock formations. There are more than 200 campsites located throughout Hocking Hills State Park with alternative options available in the local area. Hocking Hills State Park Campground
The Hocking Hills State Park Campground has 40 cottages and 156 electric campsites. The cottages each have two bedrooms, a living area, shower room, complete kitchen and dining area and screened porch. The campsites feature 20, 30 or 50-amp electric hook-ups, paved pads, heated shower facilities, flush toilets and laundry houses. Both areas have access to the swimming pool and area hiking trails. There are nine hiking trails in the park ranging in length from a quarter mile to six miles, with varying difficulties to accommodate all skill levels.
Hocking Valley Canoe Livery
The Hocking Valley Canoe Livery can also be found in Logan, Ohio. Many guests visit the area for riverside camping along the Hocking River. Campers can swim and fish from most of the campsites located within the livery. The campgrounds include both primitive and electric tent sites and Amish camper cabins. The Hocking Valley Canoe Livery is located within the 15-mile radius of all nine Hocking Hills State Parks, where hiking, biking, backpacking and horseback riding can be enjoyed. Guests can enjoy some of the best canoeing and kayaking available in the area.
Spotted Horse Ranch
The Spotted Horse Ranch is located in Laurelville, Ohio and is just moments away from Hocking Hills. The Ranch includes two secluded cabins for guests to enjoy. Each cabin sleeps four people and has many modern amenities such as hot tubs, fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens. Cabin rental includes two covered horse stalls. For more primitive camping, campsites are available with or without electricity and include water hookups and dump stations. Stalls are available for horse boarding during your trip. At the Spotted Horse Ranch you can either bring your own horse or ride one of theirs. Guests can make reservations for trail rides and experienced riders can make arrangements for longer trips.
At Boulders Edge Tipi Retreat
At Boulders Edge Tipi Retreat provides guests of Hocking Hills a unique camping experience with three tipis and several cabins available for rental. Tipis include primitive accommodations including army cots, chimineas inside the tipi, fire rings with cooking grates, picnic tables, porta johns and solar showers. Cabins include modern amenities such as a four-person hot tubs, telescopes, fully equipped kitchens, air conditioning and fireplaces. Guests can purchase adventure packages which incorporate ATV riding or air tours into their stay. Action seekers can enjoy the zip lining tour, or canoe trips offered by the complex.
Happy Hills Campground and Cabins
The Happy Hills Campground and Cabins are located in Nelsonville, Ohio, within the Hocking Hills. The campground has many amenities to enhance the visitors experience including access to a private fishing lake, swimming pool, playground, game room, golfing and bike trails. There are many campsites available ranging from primitive sites without electricity to full hook-up sites.
