Cellulite can leave your legs and thighs looking dimpled and bumpy, warns the University of Maryland Medical Center. Don't let it keep you from enjoying your favorite leg-baring attire. Several skincare products are designed to target the skin condition to help your skin firm up and look more toned. For the most effective results in conquering cellulite, choose a skincare product that's been recommended by skin health and beauty experts.
Nivea Good-bye Cellulite Patches
Nivea's skin patches come infused with a serum designed to target cellulite, according to skincare expert Paula Begoun. They're large enough to apply onto trouble areas like your stomach or thighs. Begoun reports that the active ingredient intended to diminish cellulite is L-carnitine. Additional beneficial ingredients include light moisturizers, such as glycerin, and two types of skin-soothing silicone.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Body Anti-aging Moisturizer
Elizabeth Arden's Prevage product line boasts a skin-firming cream that "Allure" magazine's editors recommend for treating cellulite. It's formulated with the idebenone antioxidant, which can help defend your skin's collagen to keep cellulite from getting worse, and skin-nourishing peptides. "Allure" says it's best for use at night.
Bliss FatGirlScrub
"Shape" magazine loves Bliss' exfoliating cellulite treatment, calling it an anti-cellulite "secret weapon." Dermatologist Francesca Fusco, reviewing the scrub for "Shape," said it enhances surface circulation to immediately tighten and firm up your skin. It's formulated with moisturizing glycerin, mineral-rich red algae and grapefruit seed extract, while its exfoliating power comes from Himalayan pink salt.
Neutrogena Anti-Cellulite Cream
"Allure" magazine praises Neutrogena's cellulite-targeting cream, saying its retinol helps to firm away cellulite by thickening your skin. The magazine also liked its use of caffeine, which can topically help tighten your skin's surface and improve fluid circulation. Additional beneficial ingredients include hydrating emollients and seaweed extract. No oils are added to the cream to avoid clogging your pores.
