The Best Skin Cleansing Products

The best skin cleanser should rinse off easily, leave no residue and clean your skin without stripping it of critical oils and moisture, advises skin care expert Paula Begoun. For the best results when washing your skin, choose a skin cleansing product that's been highlighted as one of the best by beauty and skin care experts.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Daily Cleansing Pads

Begoun loved Aveeno's cleansing pads, saying their cleansing performance was "very good." It does more than just cleanse. The smooth side of each cleansing pad wipes away surface debris while the opposite side is specially textured to exfoliate and scrub away dead skin cells. Begoun concludes that this cleansing product is ideal for all skin types.

Olay Professional Pro-X Restorative Cream Cleanser

"Self" magazine's beauty editors rank Olay's anti-aging cream cleanser as the best general-purpose skin wash, saying it can help you get a clear, perfect complexion. It's formulated with standard dirt-lifting ingredients, plus beneficial skin-nourishers like glycerin and vitamin B3. This helps moisturize and condition your skin to keep it from drying out.

Olay Body Wash Plus Spa Exfoliating Ribbons

For the skin on the rest of your body, "Marie Claire" magazine's beauty editors suggest using Olay's body wash, saying it will "change your life." They liked its combination of standard cleansers plus moisturizing lotion and skin-exfoliating scrubbing particles. Additional beneficial ingredients include seaweed extract. The magazine concludes that Olay's product is the "overachiever" you should have in your shower.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Daily Exfoliating Cleanser

Regular exfoliating helps get rid of damaged dead skin cells to keep your complexion looking young and smooth, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Begoun loved Aveeno's exfoliating cleanser, saying its thick texture and effective exfoliating action were perfect for normal to oily skin. A side effect is the cleanser's warming effects when it comes in contact with water, though this simply makes it more comfortable and doesn't actually do anything for your skin, notes Begoun.
