Cellulite is a skin condition caused by fat deposits under the skin that make it to look dimpled and bumpy. While this condition mainly affects women, men can also have body areas where cellulite is present. While there are several over-the-counter solutions for this problem, you can also use coffee grounds on the affected areas. The caffeine in the coffee will help with the blood flow to the area, diminishing the built-up cellulite.

Step 1

Mix 1/4 cup of coffee grounds with 1 tbsp. of olive oil in a bowl. The mixture should feel sticky in your hands.

Step 2

Rub the mixture all over the affected area. The goal is to actually rub the coffee into the skin so the caffeine has a chance to work.

Step 3

Cover the mixture with a layer of plastic wrap to seal it onto your skin. Leave the wrap in place for approximately 5 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the plastic wrap and throughly rinse the area with warm water.

Tips and Warnings

  • Repeat this process at least twice per week to get rid of the cellulite. You can also purchase a lotion or body scrub which contains coffee grounds. The effect will be the same, albeit a bit lessened as there is less coffee in these products than you would get by applying the coffee directly to your skin.

Things You'll Need

  • 1/4 cup coffee grounds
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Mixing bowl
  • Plastic wrap
  • Warm water
