Having an enclosure around a trampoline is a valuable safety tool, especially if children are using it. A trampoline enclosure is a big net that surrounds the trampoline and prevents anyone from falling off. Many trampolines now come with an enclosure included in the kit when you purchase it. Trampoline enclosures come in different styles, but the basic assembly is usually the same.

Step 1

Place your trampoline on a level surface and have enough clearance overhead for jumping and the enclosure. Avoid wires or other hazards.

Step 2

Remove all of the parts of the enclosure from the package and spread them out on the ground. Check all of the parts against the parts list to ensure nothing is missing.

Step 3

Secure the sections of metal tubing together, as per the manufacturer's instructions. Enclosures styles vary, and the tubing might take the shape of bent rods, or arches depending on what kind you have.

Step 4

Attach clamps to sections of the trampoline as shown in your instructions. They should be spaced out evenly around the base of the trampoline.

Step 5

Secure the pieces of tubing in the clamps around the trampoline to form the frame of the enclosure. When you are finished, sections of frame will be standing, evenly spaced around the circumference of the trampoline.

Step 6

Lay out the net on the trampoline to determine which end is the top and which is the bottom. Fasten the top of the net to the tops of the frame with the hardware provided. It should extend all the way around the top when you are finished.

Step 7

Pull the netting down and secure to the bottom sections of the frame. When you are finished, inspect the net to ensure all the attachment points are secure.

Tips and Warnings

  • When you are attaching the net, line up the door so it is in the proper position on the trampoline.
