Home Remedies To Make Hair Shiny

Expensive salon treatment can add vitality and shine to hair, yet there are many treatments that can be done at home. Treatments are simple to create and can use inexpensive products commonly found in kitchen cabinets. Treating hair can fight harsh chemicals and abuse from the weather that may have damaged hair. Shiny hair has a full healthy look to it. Most treatments can be performed on a weekly basis for additional shine.

Mix 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar and 4 cups water. Apply to hair and let soak for 3 minutes. Rinse well to remove treatment. Apply the mixture after you have washed your hair. The vinegar removes product buildup and balances the pH level of hair.

Warm up 1/2 cup olive oil in the microwave in intervals of 30 seconds. Ensure oil is warm to touch. Pour over wet hair. Comb to distribute oil. Wrap hair in a warm towel and let sit for 15 minutes. Wash hair several times to remove all the oil.

Cut open two avocados. Mix in a blender to form a paste. Add water to slightly liquefy if necessary. Apply to wet hair. Use a comb to distribute the paste. Let hair sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with water.

Use chamomile tea or lemon juice rinses for blonde hair. Heat 3 cups of water to boil and add 3 bags of tea or mix in 1/2 cup of lemon juice. Allow to sit and cool to warm temperature. Pour rinse over hair once a week after shampooing.

Use herbs, such as rosemary and sage, for darker hair. Use a 1/4 cup of dried herbs. Add to 3 cups of boiling water. Allow to sit and cool to a warm temperature. Pour rinse over hair once a week after shampooing.
